The Alwani Group is a collection of shops (Carlos, Galaxy, Cosmos and Foto World) and dates back to the 1930's.

Ladhram B. Awani opened his first shop Carlos which not only prospered but expanded to its present size.

Why was it called Carlos when it was founded by Ladharam Alwani? Carlos was the nickname he had become know by his Gibraltarian and Spanish friends.

Now the Alwani Group is a major retailer and wholesaler of electronic equipment, cameras and all types of photographic products as well as video cameras, recorders/players and other modern goods, all from prestigious makers, The list is too long to mention in full but includes Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Minolta and Toshiba, just to give you a flavor of range.

We Cover everything in photography from the inexpensive to the top of the range. Not just the cameras but all things like specialist lenses, paper and all accessories. Spanish and other photographers come to Carlos from all over Andalusia and further a field for their supplies and equipment.
